Hospices of Hope is a non-profit organisation which aims to provide palliative care services to adults and children with terminal and life-limiting illnesses in Southeastern Europe. The main areas of delivery are Romania, Serbia, and Moldova. Hospices of Hope also provides training and education programmes in countries outside of the core provision
At the end of 2022 we st.Panteleymon Charity Fund had became official partner for Hospices of Hope in Ukraine. In March 2023 Roman Sluhotskyi (Coutry Manager for HofH in Ukraine) met Graham Perrols (founder and development director of Hospices of Hope) at the border in Ukraine. During the meeting we discussed strategy for development of Palliative Care in the region and Ukraine, possibility of supporting The First Children Hospice in Nadvirna and urgent needs for palliative patients.
Together with Hospices of Hope we managed to provide care with diapers, medicines and painkillers, food to 200 patients in hospice and 300 patients were cared at home.
Mobile team made 248 visits to patients or transporting them to or from the hospital with ambulance vehicle. We had 58 patients transported on stretchers solely, others using wheelchairs. Four patients had long-distance journeys to the border, one for a family reunion in Spain and others from Kharkiv and Zaporizhia traveled to Germany to receive hospice care free of charge as refugees.
